Ahoy Mateys! (Grades K-2)
Yo, Ho! Let’s Go! It’s the pirates’ life for us! We will read about pirates, dress like pirates, hunt for buried treasure, and make lots of pirate crafts! You will dive for treasure while swimming in Lake Highland’s “clear, blue sea.” We will swim in the LHP pool each day and we will even make model pirate ships to sail! This class is designed for the girl who enjoys American Girl dolls, crafts, books, movies, and magazines! We will enjoy creating items inspired by the dolls and their stories. Qualities, expectations, and responsibilities of an excellent babysitter will be the focus as students are trained in the basics of childcare, first aid, and how to handle emergencies. Splash on in and join us for a week of learning fun facts about mermaids. We will read mermaid books and make crafty mermaid projects!
