Ahoy Mateys! (Grades K-2)
Yo, Ho! Let’s Go! It’s the pirates’ life for us! We will read about pirates, dress like pirates, hunt for buried treasure, and make lots of pirate crafts! You will dive for treasure while swimming in Lake Highland’s “clear, blue sea.” We will swim in the LHP pool each day and we will even make model pirate ships to sail! Art A-La-Carte (Grades 5-8)
In Art A-La-Carte campers will get a "taste" of many different art mediums such as drawing, painting, watercoloring, printmaking, photography, ceramics, fiber arts, wire arts, sculptures and art journaling. Let your creativity flow as we create multiple crafty projects throughout the week using a variety of tools that may include paint, paper, crayons, markers, beads, yarn, clay, glue, scissors, sand, papier-mâché, and elements from nature. Basketball- CoEd (Grades 6-8)
Quality basketball instruction stressing fundamentals, techniques, philosophy, strategy, and intensive skill development will be the focus each week. Teamwork and an enthusiastic attitude will also be emphasized. Players should bring gym shorts, two t-shirts, basketball shoes and socks, a swimsuit, and a towel daily. Students in Dance Camp will learn multiple styles of dance such as ballet, jazz, lyrical, and hip-hop. Fishing Camp (Grades 2-8)
It has been said that a bad day of fishing beats a good day at work! Come and learn to bait a hook and cast a line in our very own Lake Highland as well as other local lakes within walking distance.
