Course #S1009300, 0.5 credit June 15 - July 10
Are you an independent learner? Can you successfully meet deadlines? If you answered in the affirmative, then the LHPS online composition course could be a good choice for you. While the face-to-face course should be your first choice, if your schedule does not permit attendance at these sessions, the online option might be your answer!
Advanced Composition is a writing intensive course that aims to increase students’ ability to develop ideas and express them effectively. Students refine mechanics, usage, syntax and style. In addition, students sharpen their understanding of MLA documentation style in a required research paper.
Here is how the online option works: All assignments must be submitted according to the agreed-upon course timetable or your enrollment will be dropped. Part of the curriculum for this course is learning to meet deadlines! All course materials are online; no additional text purchases required. All work must be finished by the end of the course, July 10. As with all Lake Highland classes, the honor code governs online classes as well.
Prerequisite: Students enrolling in this course must be capable of completing independent work, meeting deadlines, and having reliable access to the Internet.
