Registration For Summer will open Thursday, February 27th at 12:00 pm.
Have a spectacular summer at Lake Highland! Select from over 100 weekly camps and programs designed to ignite curiosity, teach new skills, and provide a fun, safe, and unforgettable summer for campers ages 4 to 17 years old.
Located on a 42-acre lakefront campus in downtown Orlando, Highlander Summer runs weekly, Monday through Friday, from June 8th to July 24th. Program times may vary and are listed in each camp and course description. Extended Day is available from 7:30-8:45 a.m. and 2:30-5:45 p.m.
LHPS students in 9th-12th grades may also register for academic courses-for-credit through the Highlander Summer registration portal.
The Highlander summer 2020 registration process is online though our CampBrain portal system. To register your child for Highlander Summer, click the “register now” tab on the right side of the screen, create a household account if you do not currently have one, and follow the online directions.

Early Bird Discounts: Take advantage of up to 10% off select programs through March 27th! Program additions or changes made after April 7th will be at full price.
Deposits: All deposits are due at the time of registration and are non-refundable 24-hours after registering. Remaining account balances must be paid in full by May 4th. Highlander Summer offers several payment plans to choose from during the registration process.
Cancellations & Refunds: Parents needing to switch camps or withdraw from a program, please email email@example.com or call the Auxiliary office at 407-206-1900 x1176. All deposits are non-refundable. If there is a need to switch programs, all monies will be transferred to the new program selection and your account will be adjusted accordingly. Cancellations or withdrawals made prior to May 15th, will receive a refund, minus the deposit, back to the credit card on file. Cancellations or withdrawals made after May 15th will receive a 50% refund minus the deposit. If Highlander Summer cancels a class or if a student is not eligible for a course, a full refund will be issued. We do not pro-rate days students are absent or allow make-up days.
Highlander Summer offers a morning and afternoon care program that is designed to keep your child safe and active until parents arrive. Our extended day services are located in the school cafeteria and provided at a weekly rate.
Campers and students enrolled in our morning care program may be dropped off as early as 7:30 a.m. Mornings are fun with age-appropriate games and inside activities to energize and prepare campers for the day. At 8:45 a.m., campers are escorted to their designated meeting place to begin a day of fun-filled camp activities!
After camp ends, campers enrolled in Extended Day will be escorted to the cafeteria and may be picked-up as late as 5:45 p.m. Here campers will have fun outside on the playground, inside playing games and coloring, and have a moment to refuel with an extra snack. If you are running late, a charge of $1.00 per minute for every minute after 5:45 p.m. will be incurred and charged to your account.
Sometimes, your family’s plans change unexpectedly in the morning or afternoon. If your child is not enrolled in Extended Day, we are happy to provide an “emergency drop-in" service at a rate of $10 for morning care and $10-$25 for afternoon care depending on the time length.
The Tartan Café offers weekly lunch plans to students enrolled in full-day activities. Our café is fully stocked with a large assortment of d aily food choices such as chicken, pizza, macaroni and cheese, burgers, quesadillas, pasta, veggies, rice, beans, baked potatoes, and more! In addition to our hot lunch options, we offer a daily salad bar, soup, fresh fruit, snacks, and a variety of drinks. All meal plans can be purchased at the time of registration through our CampBrain registration portal. Please note that the Tartan Café is not a “peanut-free environment”.
PreK: All Pre-K campers bring lunch from home each day and eat in their classroom with their teacher/counselor.
Grades K-5: Campers entering grades K-5 may bring a lunch from home or purchase a meal plan for $35/week. Lower School meal plans consist of one entree, one side, a beverage (juice, milk, or bottled water) and one dessert each day.
Grades 6-12: Campers and students entering grades 6-12 may choose to bring a lunch from home or purchase a meal plan for $45/week. Middle and Upper School meal plans consist of one entree, two sides, fruit or salad, one dessert, and a drink of choice each day. Middle and Upper School campers and students are not allowed to leave campus for lunch.
Campers and students who purchase a meal plan will be provided a bag lunch by our cafeteria on field trip days.
The Tartan Café will be closed during Week 4, June 29 - 2nd. All campers will need to bring a lunch that week.
Safety of our campers is our number one priority at Highlander Summer! Our campus is gated and staffed with security personnel 24 hours a day. Our security team closely monitors our entrances, school grounds, and Doppler radar for lightening alerts to make sure your child is safe at all times.
Highlander Summer has a certified nurse on staff every day from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., as well as certified athletic trainers. Parents are invited to leave prescription medicines with the nurse as long as it arrives in the original packaging with a pharmacy label on it. If your child carries an epi-pen, the epi-pen will be stored in the nurse’s office. Epi-pens must also follow the packaging guidelines above.
Yes, all children ages 4-17 are eligible to attend our camps! 4 year-olds must be fully potty-trained and show proof of age. If your child turns 4 in July, then your child may start attending camp in July after their birthday.
Children in camp should wear shorts, a t-shirt, and sneakers. We do not allow campers to wear flip-flops, slip-ons, or backless shoes.
Each program varies slightly, but most require only a bathing suit and towel. We encourage campers to leave their cell phones at home. They will not be able to carry them around with them on campus. Parents that need to contact their child during the camp day can call our office and we will relay any message needed!

If dropping off late, park in front of Bradshaw Lower School and walk the child into the Auxiliary office. We will then escort your child to his/her program. If you need to pick up a child early, please contact the Auxiliary office at least 30 minutes prior to the time you plan to arrive. We will have your child waiting for you in the front office where you will be able to sign him/her out.
