Art Techniques is a survey of 2-D and 3-D techniques and mediums, giving students a sampling of the variety of ways to create art.

We’ll cover not only the range of effects of pencil and paint but also relief printmaking, ink and ink wash, pastel, collage, sculpture with polymer clay, watercolor pencil, and more. We’ll also compare these methods to their digital counterparts by creating art on the iPad with ProCreate. The overall goal of this class is for each student to fall in love with at least one of these art techniques and pursue them beyond middle school.
