Program

Our young men are willing to work hard, whether through off-season workouts in January, preparing for exams in November, practices in August, or under the lights on Friday nights in the fall. Lake Highland Football is about excellence in all endeavors and building selfless, tough, and resilient student-athletes who reject passivity, lead courageously under adverse conditions, and humbly serve others.

We believe in putting our brothers before ourselves--sacrificing personal comfort for the team's good--and pushing each other to compete beyond our perceived potential. This mindset and attitude are rooted in our LHP mission statement and enduring leadership principles. We love the sport, yet we truly believe it is a means to a greater purpose - developing strong leaders.

Coaching Staff

Ben Bullock

Varsity Head Coach

Ben Bullock is Lake Highland Prep’s innovative and energetic Head Coach for Varsity Football. Coach Bullock brings 15 years of experience including college and high school coaching. His experience and unique, relational approach to coaching aligns with our mission to develop student-athletes who achieve success in their sport while becoming young people of strong character.

At the collegiate level, Bullock coached 17 All-Conference selections, four All-Region selections, and two All-Americans at multiple NCAA institutions. Before arriving to LHPS, Coach Bullock also led high school players to state playoff appearances, back-to-back winning seasons, and to shatter previous school records.

“My family and I are excited to be Highlanders,” said Coach Bullock. “Lake Highland has a strong, storied football program, dedicated coaches, and hard-working, talented players. It is a privilege to lead the Highlander football program."

Thomas Scott

Strength & Conditioning Coach

Thomas "Coach T" Scott has been the strength and conditioning coach at LHP for over 15 years. Previously, he was the head strength and conditioning coach at Rutgers University, where he trained 21 Olympic sports teams. He has trained athletes from high school to professional athletes from all over the world. Coach T has also been a professional strength coach for Washington Freedom, New York Power, Orlando Pride, and The Chicago Redstars.

Facilities

CNL Stadium
A 1,200-seat outdoor, open-air athletic field, the CNL Stadium is home to the Highlander football, soccer, and lacrosse teams. This state-of-the-art artificial turf field has sewn-in game lines and is equipped with a scoreboard and video board. The adjacent Yergey Snack Shack offers supporters and visitors refreshments during games.

Meffe Family Field House
Dedicated and opened in 2013, the Meffe Family Field House is an integral component of Highlander athletics. Equipped with two full-size locker rooms, an athletic training facility, and storage rooms, the Meffe Family Field House provides top-notch hospitality and facilities to Highlanders and visiting teams.

Lake Highland Athletic Complex (LHAC)
An integral component of our facilities, the LHAC, an outdoor, natural grass facility, provides our athletes with a first-class practice and game experience. The LHAC encompasses Frontline Field, O'Meara Family Softball Field, six regulation tennis courts, and an auxiliary sports field, which hosts practice sessions for the lacrosse and soccer teams. The LHAC is also the training location for our nationally-acclaimed archery team.

Highlander Strength & Conditioning Facility
Located inside Weng Family Gymnasium, our 3,700-square-foot Strength & Conditioning Facility at LHP is second to none. The facility features seven platforms for Olympic-style lifts, three squat rack platforms, free weights, assisted lift machines, a total body jungle, and a designated area for cardio machines. The Strength & Conditioning Facility is open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. for student-athletes with coach supervision.
