Varsity Golf Girls
Program Overview
Philosophy
The Lake Highland Girls Golf program aims to teach life lessons from this beautiful sport that will last a lifetime. Golf is a sport that is unequivocally as mentally challenging as it is physically challenging and our goal is to prepare our athletes for both obstacles. While our sport is played individually it is heavily reliant upon teammates in the team scoring format.
Success
Started in 1999 Linda Barnhill has been the only Head Coach of the program for the past 20 years. The program won the FHSAA Class 1A State Championship in 2001 and State Runner-Up finishes in 2002 and 2003. On top of success at the State level the Girls Golf program has won several Regional and District Championships. The team qualified for the 2020 State Tournament and additionally has been featured in the Orlando Sentinel Super Six Golf Rankings several times.
