Varsity Football
Program Overview
Playing football at Lake Highland was transformational for me. The experience created bonds throughout our team that are greater than friendships and that will last a lifetime.

The Highlander football program is focused on building the leaders of today while competing in classroom and on the field. We relentlessly pursue excellence on a daily basis and believe that the process is greater than the result.
Our young men are willing to work hard, whether through off-season workouts in January, preparing for exams in November, practices in August, or under the lights on Friday nights in the fall. Lake Highland Football is about excellence in all endeavors and building selfless, tough, and resilient student athletes who reject passivity, lead courageously under adverse conditions, and humbly serve others.
We believe in putting our brothers before ourselves---sacrificing personal comfort for the good of the team ---and pushing each other to compete beyond our perceived potential. This mind-set and attitude is rooted in our LHPS mission statement and enduring leadership principles. We love the sport, yet we truly believe it is a means to a greater purpose - developing strong leaders.
The structure of the Lake Highland Football Program:
B.E.S.T is our STANDARD: BELIEVE--EFFORT--SENSE OF URGENCY--TOUGHNESS (Mental)
Mission: Our football program will relentlessly pursue excellence academically, athletically and socially. We will foster growth so our student athletes become productive leaders in our society.
Program Goals:
1. Graduate with highest GPA possible
2. Make a positive impact on the community
3. Improve EVERDAY in EVERYTHING we do
4. EARN State!
Program Rules:
1. Always protect the program!
2. Be Early!!
3. No Excuses, No Whining, No Complaining!
The program runs continually throughout the year and is intended to complement, not detract from, interests outside of football and the classroom. We believe in being co-curricular. We encourage student athletes to participate in multiple sports.
