Building Strength & Perseverance
Lake Highland’s state-of-the-art athletic facilities were constructed to enhance the strength and character of every student-athlete. Highlanders have access to first-class resources that enable them to perform at their fullest potential, from all-purpose gymnasiums to professional, cutting-edge equipment.
Weng Family Gymnasium
A 1,100-seat multi-purpose facility, the Weng Family Gymnasium is home to the Highlander boys’ and girls’ volleyball, basketball, and wrestling teams. It also features boys and girls locker rooms, a 3,750-square-foot strength and conditioning weight room, the Gina Martin Training Room, athletic administration offices, and physical education offices. In 2019, two new scoreboards and one new video board were added to provide an exciting player and spectator experience.
Highlander Strength & Conditioning Facility
Located inside the Weng Family Gymnasium, the 3,700-square-foot strength and conditioning facility is second to none. Equipped with seven platforms for Olympic-style lifts, three squat rack platforms, free weights, assisted lift machines, a total body jungle, and a designated area for cardio machines, our facility is open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for student-athletes with coach supervision. Athletes and LHP employees are also able to focus on their physical fitness here.
CNL Stadium
A 1,200-seat outdoor, open-air athletic field, the CNL Stadium is home to the Highlander football, boys and girls soccer, and boys and girls lacrosse teams. This state-of-the-art artificial turf field has sewn-in game lines and is equipped with a scoreboard and video board. The adjacent Yergey Snack Shack offers refreshments to supporters and visitors during games.
Meffe Family Field House
Dedicated and opened in 2013, the Meffe Family Field House is an integral component of Highlander athletics. Equipped with two full-size locker rooms, an athletic training facility, and storage rooms, it provides top-notch hospitality and facilities to Highlanders and visiting teams.
Aquatic Center
Home to the Highlander swim and dive teams, our Aquatic Center features the official water polo pool from the 1996 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta, Georgia. This 22-lane, 25-yard pool regularly hosts the Florida High School Athletic Association District and Regional Championships. The Highlander pool also includes a 13-foot diving well used for competition and an adjacent three-foot, 25-yard pool utilized for swim lessons and physical education classes. The Aquatic Center’s duPont Family Scoreboard features state-of-the-art Daktronics technology, including timing systems, animation, video, instant replay, and other capabilities.
Lake Highland Athletic Complex
The Lake Highland Athletic Complex (LHAC) is an outdoor natural grass facility that encompasses the baseball field, O’Meara Family Softball Field, six regulation tennis courts, and an auxiliary sports field. It is the training location for our nationally acclaimed archery team. The auxiliary sports field hosts practice sessions for boys’ and girls’ lacrosse and boys’ and girls’ soccer. An integral component of our facilities, the LHAC provides our athletes with a first-class practice and game experience.
Baseball Field
Home to the Highlander baseball team, the LHP baseball field is located inside the Lake Highland Athletic Complex. This natural grass facility with a sand infield provides an ideal environment for a baseball game any time of the year.
O'Meara Family Softball Field
The O'Meara Family Softball Field is home to the Highlander softball team and is located inside the Lake Highland Athletic Complex. With a fence 200 feet from home plate, this all-sand infield and natural grass outfield provide an exciting environment for both players and fans.
Holloway Track & Field
Located inside the CNL Stadium, Holloway Track and Field is an eight-lane, 400-meter synthetic track utilized by the Highlander track and field team and boys and girls cross country programs. In addition to the track, Lake Highland’s field event equipment includes a sand pit for the long jump and triple jump, a pole vault pit and mat, and a high jump mat.
Rio Pinar Golf & Country Club
Rio Pinar Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole, par-72, 7,000-yard course, home to the Highlander golf program. Designed by Mark Mahannah and Lloyd Clifton, the country club has complete clubhouse services, a pro shop, a driving area, and a chipping green.
