Lake Highland Preparatory School looks to our alumni volunteers to help shape the Highlanders of tomorrow! The Lake Highland Alumni Association and Alumni Board of Directors are dedicated to providing opportunities for alumni engagement. Whether your interest is networking, social events, mentoring, stewardship, or helping the community, there are many opportunities for you to get involved!
Class Ambassador Program
Class ambassadors are communications liaisons between Lake Highland and their classmates. They communicate with and motivate their classmates, encouraging them to become involved in activities, events, and giving to the school. The primary goal of the class ambassadors is to strengthen the connection between Lake Highland Preparatory School and its alumni. Class ambassadors' peer-to-peer outreach has an enormous impact on class connectivity, event attendance, giving participation, and school affinity.

Join the Highlander Alumni Board of Visitors (HABOV)
The Highlander Alumni Board of Visitors (HABOV) is a group of committed, vibrant, diverse, and talented LHP alumni who serve as an advisory board and as informed good-will ambassadors for Lake Highland in the alumni community. The HABOV meets virtually (via Zoom) three times per year and their meetings include presentations and discussions with members of the LHPS administration and faculty. Each presentation is followed by an open discussion during which HABOV members ask questions and provide feedback to the school.
If you are interested in serving on the HABOV, please contact LHP Alumni Coordinator, Josie Karash at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join an Alumni Board Committee
Alumni board members and non-board members serve on committees dedicated to increasing alumni engagement: Networking, Social, and Stewardship. Serving on an alumni committee is a smaller time commitment than serving on the Alumni Board of Directors. To join a committee, please contact the Alumni Board of Directors President or contact the alumni office at email@example.com.

Aspire Program (Advanced STEM Program emphasizing Internship and Research Experiences)
ASPIRE matches highly motivated science and math students in the Upper School with leading researchers and professionals at research facilities in Central Florida. Students actively participate in current scientific studies and research under the direction of their professional mentors, gaining first-hand analytical and research skills comparable to those learned by undergraduate- and graduate-level students. These in-depth scientific studies have resulted in scientific discoveries, in students listed as co-authors of articles in professional science journals, and in presentations to scientific panels. Lake Highland’s uniquely skilled and highly qualified ASPIRE students win a significant number of top awards each year in local, regional, national, and international competitions.
