Dear Community of Learners
Welcome to Lake Highland Preparatory School!
Central Florida's School of Opportunity.
Whether just visiting our webpage to discover more about our incredible community or searching for the best place for your student's educational home, we are excited to reveal what we believe is a unique and vibrant place we all love. At Lake Highland, we are committed to creating an atmosphere of love, concern, and mutual respect where our community members are seen and see others, as our honor code says, "as unique children of God." We are committed to instilling Christian values, inspiring patriotism, developing leaders, and preparing our students for college and life-long learning.
With more than 50 years of history in providing unparalleled experiences and opportunities for our students, our expert and dedicated community of educators partners with families to help develop students' thirst for intellectual curiosity and innovation. Our students emerge from our campus as leaders of noble character who desire to thrive in a highly competitive, widely collaborative, and ever-changing world.
Our philosophy of fostering the "whole child" is rooted in our experience and history that these ideals produce Highlander graduates prepared to step out into the world as confident, competent, and functional citizens who are intellectually, physically, emotionally, and spiritually prepared to pursue their dreams, achieve their full potential, and successfully cope with life challenges ready to be servant-leaders within their homes, communities, and world.
These values and ideals, coupled with an expansive curriculum and championship-level extra-curricular and co-curricular programs, ignite passions within our students from the earliest of ages to follow their dreams, whether they are budding artists or scientists, thespians or coders, future novelists, or competitive athletes. Increasingly, our students come from all over Orlando, the state, country, and globe, which provides a strength of perspectives and diverse backgrounds that serve us all in the 21st century.
Of course, reading about a school cannot compare to visiting it and meeting the people who make it so unique—our teachers, students, parent community, and other staff members. We look forward to welcoming you to our 43-acre campus. In addition to our admissions team, we encourage you to talk with those most familiar with who we are and who we aspire to be as Highlanders: our teachers, our staff members, our parents, and, of course, our students.
Thank you again for exploring, discovering, and visiting our website page. I hope you find what I often say: "The world needs more Highlanders!"
We look forward to meeting you!
Peace,
James A. McIntyre
President
