The Highlander football program is focused building the leaders of tomorrow while competing in everything we do from the classroom to the field. We relentlessly pursue excellence on a daily basis and believe that the process is greater than the result.

Our young men are willing to work hard, whether through off-season workouts in January, preparing for exams in November, long practices in August, or under the lights on Friday nights in the fall. Lake Highland Football is about excellence in all endeavors and building selfless, tough, and resilient student athletes who reject passivity, lead courageously under adverse conditions, and humbly serve others.

We believe in putting our brothers before ourselves---sacrificing personal comfort for the good of the team ---and pushing each other to compete beyond our perceived potential. This mind-set and attitude is rooted in our LHPS mission statement and enduring leadership principles. We love the sport, yet we truly believe it is a means to a greater purpose - developing strong leaders.

First day of school is FIRST DAY OF PRACTICE.

Middle School students will take the LHP shuttle to the main campus after school. All athletes will meet in Coach Lauer's room (Hale 201) above the US office.

Athletes will need athletic shorts, shirt and cleats for practice. All other equipment will be issued within the first week.

Practices will be Monday - Friday 3:30pm-5:15pm until game weeks, then they will only be Monday - Wednesday.

3.    No Excuses, No Whining, No Complaining

The program runs continually throughout the year and is intended to complement, not detract from, interests outside of football and the classroom. We believe in being co-curricular. We encourage student athletes to participate in multiple sports.
