Welcome to the Lake Highland Cross Country page. Our goal in this program is to promote running as a lifetime sport in a true team atmosphere. Our sport truly is one where everyone who runs counts! No prior experience is neccessary and we encourage anyone to come out and try out for the team. There are no cuts and we have JV as well as a Varsity racing team. So you may be a complete beginner, someone who wants to get in shape for another sport or a competitive runner who has aspirations to run at the college level. All our welcome in our program! Each athlete has their own workouts and mileage programs created that best suits them and their experience.
Coach Spring came to Lake Highland in 2003 and since then the Girl's team has wonf 7 district titles, 5 Region titles, and were State Runner up in 2007. Runners who have gone in to run in College include:

The Fall 2019 Cross Country Season begins Monday July 29th at 6:30 am with the first practice of the season on campus. Athletes MUST have 1st period athletics - Contact your counselors. SUMMER RUNS begin Monday 6/3 at 7 am on campus. We have a JV and Varsity team for the 2019 season. They will train and race together (Same practice and race schedule for MOST meets)
All forms need to be in BEFORE MONDAY JULY 29th to be eligible for practice.

Forms needed for the season may be found by clicking to the left where it says "Athlete Connection"- Follow instructions for completion and electronic submission. A new physical and release form are needed every year. Concussion testing will be done the first week of practice.
