Emphasizing rigorous academics and a rich array of extracurricular opportunities, our Upper School instills independence and confidence in our students, helping them to achieve their greatest potential.
Since 1970
Lake Highland Preparatory School has delivered a remarkable education characterized by extraordinary opportunities for PreK through 12th-grade students. Our focus is simple: inspire students to pursue their full potential to learn, lead, serve, and change the world.

Safety is Everyone’s Priority
At LHP, safety is our top priority. We are committed to providing a safe, uplifting environment for students to grow in mind, body, and spirit. In addition to a robust onsite safety team, two officers from the Orlando Police Department are present on campus daily.
Innovation Flourishes
Highlanders learn through immersive educational experiences and co-curricular activities. We believe in helping students develop creative problem-solving skills that serve them well in the future through hands-on experience using the latest state-of-the-art technology and innovations in STEM.
Purpose Grows
An essential component of the LHP educational experience is the development of every child’s moral courage and honorable character. Within an atmosphere of love, concern, and mutual respect, we cultivate empathy and resilience to build compassionate and courageous servant leaders who stand up for what is right.
Each Child Belongs
At LHP, students from diverse backgrounds and experiences discover a place they truly belong. Highlanders are widely recognized and celebrated for their individual gifts while maturing in knowledge, confidence, skills, and teamwork.
