Piano Private Lesson Contract

2011-2012


Fees and Payment
Lessons include 28 private lessons lasting approximately 30 minutes to accommodate the school schedule. There are two options for piano lessons: private lessons without additional performance opportunities or piano performance lessons for those students wishing to participate in the UCF Festival and/or Piano Guild, etc. Please note the activity fee is NONREFUNDABLE.
The charges will be billed to your account.
Refund Policy
This contract is for the school year. Withdrawals may occur at the semester break if the business office, the teacher, and the lesson coordinator receives a written request of withdrawal BEFORE the tuition due date of Jan. 1, 2012.

Attendance Policy
There will be NO REFUNDS for missed lessons. Missed lessons due to illness may be made up if the teacher receives notice by 8:00 AM the day of the lesson. Lessons missed for field trips, vacations, etc. require a minimum 24 hours notice. Makeup lessons will be offered in the form of private or class lessons at the teacher’s discretion and are limited to 2 per semester. No-shows will NOT be made-up. Lessons missed by the instructor will be made up at a mutually arranged time.

Books and Materials
Students are required to supply their books. The instructor will recommend books according to each student’s needs and with the recommendation of the band director. It is the parent’s responsibility to insure books are purchased in a timely manner so valuable lesson time is not wasted.

Practice
As mastering an instrument and developing musical skill and excellence requires commitment, students must be committed to daily practice as recommended by the teacher. It is the parent’s responsibility to insure students are well practiced and prepared for their weekly lesson and have their instrument and books at school for the lesson.
