The consulting firm of AES Engineers is committed to continuing its support of higher education by providing scholarships to deserving students. Our belief if that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluating the essays that are submitted. The David Logan Scholarship is awarded each year to four high school seniors who excel in athletics and academics. The scholarship is granted in memory of David Logan, former NFL player and sportscaster. David was an anchor on “Sports Connection” on Bay News 9. At the University of Dayton, we believe in using our knowledge and resources to serve others. In, fact servant leadership is so important that your thoughts on the topic could result in a substantial scholarship. The idea is that the student will create a video that describes what servant leadership means to them. They will then share the video through Facebook, Twitter, email or word of mouth to drum up votes. The 10 videos with the most votes will be reviewed by a team of University faculty, students and staff who will select the winners.

As a Hunt Leadership Scholar you will have unusual opportunities to learn from leaders. You will meet with Mr. and Mrs. Hunt, as well as, SMU’s President, R. Gerald Turner. In the past, Scholars have attended, and sometimes ushered at, Tate lectures featuring Mikhail Gorbachev, Tom Brokaw, Norman Schwarzkopf, and George Bush, among others.
