LAKE HIGHLAND PARENT ASSOCIATION (LHPA)
Dear Lake Highland Families,
Welcome back to school!! I hope you have all had a wonderful and relaxing Summer Break and are now ready to jump into the school year. The LHPA has been planning a lot of exciting events for the fall that we hope you’ll be a part of.
Jessica Bowen and Jenn Buck helped us start the school year off right with a Welcome Back Breakfast for all Lake Highland teachers and staff. With a Broadway theme, everyone felt like they were on the red carpet.
We will kick off our Fall Fundraiser on August 17 by presenting the Sally Foster Campaign. Lake Highland will receive 50% of sales of all Sally Foster giftwrap sold – so please help support the school by stocking up! Amy Lee and Jessica Bowen are the Event Chairs and will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
On August 24, Middle School will host a Mom’s Night Out at Bella on Park Avenue in Winter Park. Betsy Pokorny has arranged for a fun evening of friends and fashion!
Time to stock up!! The Used Uniform Sale will be back on September 29 in the upper level of the Lower School Library. We will have gently used uniforms for Lower, Middle and Upper school, outerwear, and spirit day attire for sale. Jenn Buck and Lesley Boynton are co-chairs of the event.
We are presenting a full day of fashion and fun this Fall as Fashion Day moves to the Orlando Country Club on October 13. Chaired by Karen O’Neill-Arredondo, Kim Kephart, Lisa Jasmund and Hope Roll, there will be something for everyone. Relax, shop and socialize with friends at this event. Look for invitations coming soon.
Get ready for the Homecoming BBQ on October 21! Enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Four Rivers and watch the game with family and friends. Contact Chairperson Pam Phillips with questions.
The Lower School is home to the Halloween Carnival on October 28. Co-Chairs Heather Brown and Jenny Bronson will help transform the school into a spooktacular playground of fun!
The Middle School will host a Halloween Dance on October 29, creating a fun environment for a costume-filled night of fun. Lisa Sidhu and Silvia Visconti will Co-Chair this event.
Join us in honoring our Veterans on November 11 with spectacular performances and presentations. For more information, contact Chairperson Kim Pride.
