After successfully completing the $14,000,000 Harriett Coleman Center for the Arts in August 2008, Lake Highland Preparatory School announced a three year hiatus on formal school-wide capital campaigns in order to allow our families and the nation’s economy to recover.
During this time, however, we have received several significant capital gifts that have allowed us to make necessary and exciting improvements to the physical plant. These include:
- New Fitness Center
- Maxwel Station—the lower school pavilion
- Middle School Mills Avenue expansion
- 940 Building—addition of classrooms
- Baseball field and adjoining fields at the LHAC (Lake Highland Athletic Complex)
The school continually strives to improve its state-of-the-art facilities. According to the 2009 Strategic Plan, our next capital project will include a new field house under the football stands and extensive renovations to the gym's locker rooms and restrooms.
