The Admission Committee, composed of faculty and administrators, evaluates each prospective student in the following areas: academic achievement and aptitude; social-emotional development; interests, talents, and extracurricular achievements; and family cooperation with the school to meet the student's needs and the ability
of the school to meet the needs of the child.

Schedule a campus tour.
We invite you to schedule a tour of our Charles Clayton Middle School Campus located at
941 N. Mills Ave. The main entrance is on Park Lake Street; look for the green awning. Tours last approximately one hour and are scheduled as follows.

- NOTE: Middle School tours begin at the Charles Clayton Campus located at 941 N. Mills Ave. Orlando, FL 32802. The main entrance is on Park Lake Street; look for the green awning.
2. Submit application and $90 application fee.
Candidates initiate the application process by submitting the completed application and the $90 application fee electronically. For those students who are qualified for admission, enrollment is dependent upon available space. A waiting pool is formed for candidates who have qualified for admission but no spots are available at their grade level.
3. Register for admission testing.
Candidates for 7th and 8th grades are required to take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE). We encourage students to register early because test sites do fill up, sometimes before the registration deadline. When registering for the ISEE, please request that scores be sent to Lake Highland Preparatory School, code 101294. To register for the ISEE, click on the ISEE Registration link below.
Early Decision for 7th and 8th Grades
- Candidates are required to take the ISEE in November or December on any date and at any location.
- All required documentation must be received by December 14, 2012.
- Early Decision letters will be mailed by January 11, 2013.
Regular Decision for 7th and 8th Grades
- Candidates are required to take the ISEE no later than January 19, 2013.
- All required documentation must be received by January 18, 2013.
- Regular Decision letters will be mailed by February 1, 2013.
Rolling Decision for 7th and 8th Grades
- Candidates may take the ISEE at any test site February - July.
- All required documentation must be received one week prior to test date.
- Rolling Decision letters will be mailed monthly.
4. Submit teacher recommendation forms.
All students applying to Lake Highland should give the appropriate recommendation forms to current teachers and administrators for completion along with a stamped envelope addressed to:

5. Submit academic records and requested documents.
Academic Records: For all students applying to Lake Highland, the following academic records are required:
- Copy of recent standardized test results
- Copy of most recent report card
- Copy of year-end grades from previous school year
Requested Documents: Please provide a copy of the following documents:
- Small Photo
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Social Security Card
- Proof of Immunizations and Current Physical by a Florida Physician
- Applicant Questionnaire
