admission testing.

teacher recommendation form(s) and requested documents.
The Admission Committee, composed of faculty and administrators, evaluates each prospective student in the following areas: academic achievement, readiness, and aptitude; social-emotional development, interests, talents, and extracurricular achievements; family cooperation with the school to meet the student's needs and the ability of the school to meet the needs of the child.

Candidates initiate the application process by submitting the completed application and the $90 application fee electronically. For those students who are qualified for admission, enrollment is dependent upon available space. A waiting pool is formed for candidates who have qualified for admission but no spots are available at their grade level.
3.
Register for admission testing.
Pre-Kindergarten (PreK): Pre-Kindergarten candidates must be four years old by September 1 of the year they will begin Pre-Kindergarten. PreK applicants are evaluated on an individual basis. This evaluation takes approximately 45 minutes. To schedule a testing appointment for your child, please call our office.
Kindergarten (K): Kindergarten candidates must be five years old by September 1 of the year they will begin Kindergarten and must attend an academic pre-Kindergarten.
Rolling Decision for Pre-Kindergarten - 4th Grade
- Admission testing may be offered February-July based on enrollment availability. Please contact an Admission Specialist at (407) 206-1900 ext. 1 to discuss specific grade level availability.
- All required documentation must be received one week prior to testing.
- Rolling decision letters will be mailed monthly.
Fifth - Sixth grades: Candidates for fifth grade are required to take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE). We encourage students to register early because test sites do fill up, sometimes before the registration deadline. When registering, please request that scores be sent to Lake Highland Preparatory School, code 101294. To register for the ISEE, click on the link below.
Rolling Decision for 5th and 6th Grades
- Candidates may take the ISEE at any test site March - July.
- All required documentation must be received for an admission decision.
- Rolling Decision letters will be mailed following an admission decision.
4. Submit teacher recommendation form(s) and required documents.
All students applying to Lake Highland should give the appropriate recommendation forms to current teacher(s) and administrators for completion. The recommendation forms can be mailed to the address below or faxed to our office at (407) 206-5042.

- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Social Security Card
- Proof of Immunizations and Current Physical by a Florida Physician
- Applicant Questionnaire (Grade 6 applicants only)
