MASTERS ART PROGRAM

The parent volunteer ‘Masters’ Art Program is for grades three through six.  There are five ‘master’ artists introduced each year from different periods of time in art.  These artists are presented to the students by parents using slides, power point presentations, posters and creative hands on projects.  At the end of the sixth grade, all the students will have studied at least 18 significant master artists.  Third grade has a ‘Survey of  Artists’ and a Van Gogh presentation.  Grades four, five and six will be studying such artists as Picasso, Michelangelo, Monet, O’Keeffe, Warhol and Dali.  Related field trips to Art Museums are arranged when local exhibits are available.
