Handmade Quilt, titled 'Fantastic Florida Quilt'. Everyone knows that 4th graders learn about Florida History. Well, Mrs. Lang's

students have incorporated what they have learned this year to create a beautiful Florida quilt. Each student created two quilt squares.

One represents their interpretation of the Florida state symbols. The second is another unique symbol or scene that reminds them of

our great state. Even Mrs. Lang joined in the fun by creating two squares of her own!

Framed Aerial Photo, titled "Fired Up & Wired for the Future". The 2008 Fifth Grade class knows that their graduating year of 2015 is

just around the bend. So, they have creatively bent style and personality into these colorful wires to frame their aerial call photo.

Highland's football field. The photo includes the entire 5th grade arranged in their graduation year, 2015.

A6041 6-A (Mr. Fiordalis) Class Art

Abstract Art titled, "Quotable". 48" x 48" Fabric/Acrylic/Graphite on Canvas. Guided by Artist Laura Shubert, the children in Mr. F's

class selected meaningful quotes that best represented themselves. They wrote them on a small square of prepared fabric making a

cohesive and meaningful snapshot of each child's thoughts, which combined form as abstract class work.

A6042 6-B (Mr. Logan) Class Art

Abstract Art titled, "Boogie Woogie". 30" x 30" Acrylic on Canvas. Inspired by the works of artist, Piet Mondrain, Mr. Logan's sixth grade

class created its own "6B Boogie Woogie". A grid-like motif was created to replicate the artist's style and composition so that fellow 6B

artists each had several squares or rectangles to express themselves. However, an added surprise was also incorporated into the

composition. Assisted by Artist Mary Ellen Tully.

A6043 6-C (Ms. Headley) Class Art

Abstract Art titled, "Unleashed". 36" x 48" Acrylic on Canvas. A superb conversation piece…done by children - for charity - under the

guidance of Artist Nanette Bellanca. The title, along with the painting, will have different meaning to each person who sees it. Is

"Unleashed" in reference to nature, emotion, or action? Does it relate to something in your past, or something that you think might

happen in the future? If this intrigues you, this painting is for you!

was painted by Ms. Coop's crew and supervised by Artist Rina Capps.
