10. Do you offer financial aid?

Lake Highland offers financial aid to families with students in grades 6-12. In order for us to allocate our resources wisely and fairly, we have enlisted the help of Independent School Management's Financial Aid for School Tuition (FAST) program. FAST provides the school with a report, which includes a recommendation of what a family should reasonably contribute toward tuition. FAST does not decide whether financial assistance will be given or how much to give; rather FAST provides a need-based financial aid analysis service. All information from FAST is kept confidential.

Financial aid awards are based strictly on 1) financial need of the family, as demonstrated through the FAST application and a review of the parents’ last 1040 tax form and 2) financial aid funds available. Families applying for financial aid must file online with FAST according to the applicable deadlines. Lake Highland’s Financial Aid Committee makes its decisions in the late spring. All financial aid applications are held in the strictest confidence.

Note that all candidates for Financial Aid must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA or a 2.5 GPA for the previous semester. In addition to a solid academic record, we look for our students to be of strong character and be involved in activities outside the classroom.
