The Highlander football program is focused on building the leaders of tomorrow while competing in classroom and on the field. We relentlessly pursue excellence on a daily basis and believe that the process is greater than the result.
Our young men are willing to work hard, whether through off-season workouts in January, preparing for exams in November, practices in August, or under the lights on Friday nights in the fall. Lake Highland Football is about excellence in all endeavors and building selfless, tough, and resilient student athletes who reject passivity, lead courageously under adverse conditions, and humbly serve others.
We believe in putting our brothers before ourselves---sacrificing personal comfort for the good of the team ---and pushing each other to compete beyond our perceived potential. This mind-set and attitude is rooted in our LHPS mission statement and enduring leadership principles. We love the sport, yet we truly believe it is a means to a greater purpose - developing strong leaders.
The structure of the Lake Highland Football Program:

The program runs continually throughout the year and is intended to complement, not detract from, interests outside of football and the classroom. We believe in being co-curricular. We encourage student athletes to participate in multiple sports. The program is broken down into phases:
Summer TEAM workouts: June-August (Vacation Time: Last week of June, July 4th week)
7v7 Tournaments and College Camps: June-July
College Showcase Tour: Beginning of June
Fall Football Season: Aug-Nov
Champions Club Off-season Competition: Nov-Aug
Post Season Workouts: Nov-Jan
Spring Football Workouts: Feb-May
Spring Football Practice/Game: May (College coaches visit practice the most during the Spring practice window)
